A graduate 1978 graduate of University of Ibadan Medical School, I proceeded to the United Kingdom in 1981 and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1984, and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1985. This was followed by post fellowship training in General Surgery at various Hospitals in the United Kingdom at Registrar and Senior Registrar level.
After one year further focused training in Breast Surgery with some Oncoplastic Surgery I obtained the Intercollegiate Fellowship in General Surgery. I was appointed as a Consultant General and Breast Surgeon at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, and the Royal Free Hospital Hampstead Foundation Trust with additional sub speciality in Thyroid Surgery.
I was the Lead Breast Surgeon for the Hospital and the Clinical Director for Surgical Specialities and a member of the London Breast Cancer Pathway Board. I am Honorary Senior Lecturer Royal Free & UCL Medical School, and Honorary Associate Professor at St Georges University Medical School. Grenada, West Indies. MBBS Examiner at both medical schools.
I am currently Educational and Clinical supervisor for Postgraduate trainees in General and Breast Surgery.
